My roots are in the small town of Vinita, Oklahoma. I am a proud graduate of Oklahoma State University, where I played varsity football for four years before accepting a graduate assistant position on the coaching staff. After my time there, I moved to Splendor, Texas, to serve as a teacher and coach. Later, I returned to Oklahoma, accepting similar teaching and coaching positions in Pryor to be closer to my family. In 1977, I learned that our local State Farm agent was retiring, which inspired me to change careers. I have loved helping the people of my community with their insurance needs ever since. As a former teacher, I take great pride in my ability to educate people about their coverage options. It truly is a family affair, with two of my brothers, one of my nephews, and my daughter having joined me as part of the State Farm family. Our dedicated team brings over 80 years of combined experience in insurance and financial services, with my own tenure marking me as the longest-serving agent in Mayes County. Over the years, I have been deeply involved in our community, serving as President of the Pryor School Board, a board member of the Boys and Girls Club and the Pryor Chamber of Commerce, and campaign chairman of the Mayes County United Way. When I am not helping people with insurance, I enjoy being outdoors, hunting, volunteering, and spending quality time with my wife, two children, and six grandchildren. After nearly 50 years in business, we are honored to be serving our third generation of State Farm customers. We love our community and look forward to making a positive difference in our Good Neighbors’ lives for many years to come.
